Your questions answered
Does AirFob fit AirPods Pro?
AirFob only fits AirPods gen 1 and 2, but we’re working on AirFob Pro and it’ll be coming soon, so stay tuned!
What is AirFob’s range?
AirFob and the MuTag inside it have a maximum range of 46 metres or 150 feet. How far it can extend depends on the exact environment it’s in, so the range can vary a little. Whenever you’re in Bluetooth range of your MuTag and AirFob, it’ll update on your map in the app, so if it hasn’t updated in a while, it could be that you’re out of range.
How does MuTag compare to a GPS device?
The MuTag that sits inside your AirFob is connected via Bluetooth, which is how we’ve been able to keep it low in cost, power usage and small in size. While GPS devices are able to provide real-time location updates when they’re on, they are much larger and you may find that they run out of battery sooner, which makes them less reliable as trackers. Don’t forget that you’ll also be paying a monthly subscription for GPS devices.
Will MuTag work on my pet?
You can absolutely attach MuTag to your pet and track them within your Bluetooth range. Currently, if they go out of range, they will no longer be tracked, but we’re always making improvements, so keep a lookout for new pet products and features with this capability.
